Although medical science has not yet confirmed the use of essential oils to treat medical conditions, and many people find using home remedies such as tea tree oil on a common skin conditions to be helpful. Tea tree oil is derived from the Australian tea tree leaves (Melaleuca alternifolia). [1] This essential oil has a powerful antibiotic, antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties that make it a suitable solution for skin conditions. It should always be diluted with water or other oil before applying to the skin.
The use of tea tree oil on psoriasis. Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease that creates an extra layer of skin, especially on the scalp and nail disorder, and sometimes the joints. There is no cure. Essential oil has been known tea tree to reduce the spread of psoriasis due to its anti-inflammatory. [2]
There are no published research to support the effectiveness of tea tree oil to use psoriasis, although it may still be worth a try.
