They are like-minded. You can bond with people who suffer from autism, the other way is not just possible with non-autistics.
They can exchange adjustment and social skills strategies. People who suffer from autism have direct experience with what works and what does not.
They face challenges with you. Addressing the neurotypical world feels a lot less overwhelming when you have a colleague autistic person by your side.
Show directly that it is possible to be awesome and autism. With all the negative speech on autism, it's easy to forget this.
They accept you who you are.
